Aykut Kadir Kurt

Born in Sakarya in 1985, Kurt graduated from the Department of Economics at Istanbul University in 2009. For nine years he has worked as an analyst in the IT departments of various banks. He has also been a blogger and administrator on many technology websites. Kurt says that, while trying to understand and learn about life, working for civil society does him good: “After volunteering for 10 years on behalf of children living under state protection, my dear wife and I founded ‘Belki de Sensin’ (Maybe It’s You), an organization working for stem cell donation. People who could have gone on with their lives couldn’t, because of society.” He adds: “While we were trying to create a life insurance, ironically, my beloved, who couldn’t find a stem cell match (we had no illness before founding Belki de Sensin), gives us strength from another realm.” A Belki de Sensin volunteer, Aykut Kadir develops various projects for the organization. Aykut Kadir Kurt has a son.
