Who is Banu Çiftçi?
Surgeon Dr. Banu Çiftçi is an Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist. She studied at the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine from 1993 to 2000. She completed her specialty training in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Gazi University Faculty of Medicine. To continue her training abroad, in 2006-2007 she was an observer at the Department of Medical Ethics and the IVF Center of New York's Cornell University, Weill Medical College. Op. Dr. Banu Çiftçi has also volunteered as a physician with "Doctors Worldwide" (Yeryüzü Doktorları) and the "Friends of All Africa Association" (Tüm Afrika'nın Dostları Derneği), seeing many patients and performing surgeries in sub-Saharan Africa: in Mogadishu, Somalia in 2012, in DR Congo in 2015 and in Uganda in 2016. Op. Dr. Banu Çiftçi has also added radio and television presenting to her specialty.
