Meet Uluç Kadıoğlu

Mustafa Oğuz Karslı

Hello everyone! There is very little time left until we meet on the TEDx stage. Today we will be telling you about our youngest speaker. In fact, we wouldn't be wrong to call him someone who has achieved a great deal despite his young age.

Who is Uluç Kadıoğlu?

He was born in Bodrum on 3 February 2000. After completing primary and middle school in Bodrum, he started high school at SEV American College in Istanbul, where he is currently a 12th grade student. In high school, his interest in biology and politics deepened. His curiosity about science grew even further with a research project in which he worked on the active ingredients of Type 2 Diabetes and Hypertension drugs and on “nematode worms”. He won regional first place and first place in Turkey in the TÜBİTAK and MEF science project competitions. To spark curiosity about science among his peers and everyone he can reach, he had his project's paper published in an international journal. He enjoys being on stage and doing theatre, and he also runs social responsibility projects to spread the culture of “peer-teaching” in education. He wants to complete the rest of his education at Harvard University, where he was accepted with a full scholarship, and in the future return to Turkey to serve in the fields of education and science.
