“To Harvard with Worms”
Original title (Turkish): “Solucanlarla Harvard'a”
About
He was born in Bodrum on 3 February 2000. After completing primary and middle school in Bodrum, he started high school at SEV American College in Istanbul and is now a 12th-grade student. In high school his interest in biology and politics deepened. His curiosity about science grew further with a research project in which he worked on the active ingredients of Type 2 diabetes and hypertension drugs and on “nematode worms.” He won regional and national first place in the TÜBİTAK and MEF science project competitions. To increase the interest in science of his peers and everyone he could reach, he had his project’s paper published in an international journal. He enjoys being on stage and doing theater, and also runs social responsibility projects to spread the culture of “peer-teaching” in education. He wants to complete the rest of his education at Harvard University, where he has been accepted on a full scholarship, and in the future to return to Turkey and serve in the fields of education and science.
