Dilara Alkan

I was born in June 1995 in Karaman, the child of a teacher and a nurse. Because of my parents’ professions, I changed schools many times. After living with my family in the Bandırma and Gönen districts of Balıkesir, we finally moved to the Akhisar district of Manisa following my father’s death. After completing primary and middle school in Akhisar, I studied at Akhisar Anatolian Teacher Training High School. I began studying psychology at Middle East Technical University (METU). For a time I was an active member of the METU Psychology Society. During my studies, I spent half a semester in Austria through the Erasmus program. I am currently continuing my studies at METU as a fourth-year psychology student.
