Ebru Baki

Ebru Baki, whom most of us know from the magic screen, was born in Istanbul in 1975. A graduate of the Department of Journalism at Marmara University, Baki began interning at the Economy desk of Hürriyet newspaper while still at university. From high school onward she spent periods abroad for education, benefiting from student exchange programs and various scholarships. After the Faculty of Communication, she went on to study International Economics at Marmara University’s İDBF. She spent 7 years at Hürriyet, rising from intern to reporter. After Hürriyet, her television adventure began. She presented economic news on CNN TÜRK while continuing to work as a reporter. From 2001 to 2014 she prepared economy programs at CNN TÜRK and also worked as an editor. In 2014 she became Economy News Manager. In 2016 she was appointed Economy Director at CNN TÜRK. Baki presents “Günün Ekonomisi” (The Day’s Economy) and “Parametre,” which air every weekday on CNN TÜRK. “I entered this profession alongside highly respected and successful names. I grew up beside them, and I’m still growing,” says Ebru Baki. She considers the part-time conservatory training she received to be her greatest help in every area throughout her life. For Baki, horse riding is the most beautiful sport in the world; the piano is her passion.
